Ellen and Brian enjoyed a beautiful day at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing, New York.

A few raindrops sprinkled through the sun flare (below); fortunately the rain stayed away!

The perfect cake topper for a groom who loves basketball…

Beautiful moments from Chasi and Adam’s wedding at Laurie House in Princeton, New Jersey.

I made some portraits of Matthew last week for his Bar Mitzvah invitation. Matthew is standing in a doorway and lit by soft daylight coming in from the backyard. The plain black background is achieved by turning off all of the lights in the rooms behind him and closing some window blinds.

A couple of my favorites from Sydney and Tal’s wedding at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers: Sydney getting ready …

… and enjoying a moment with Tal by the Hudson River.

During a break in the early evening rain, Joanna and Andrew enjoyed a walk outside. Wedding photography at The Garrison in Garrison, a hamlet in New York’s Putnam County.

The private dining room was exquisitely arranged at Gramercy Tavern, where I photographed a birthday celebration this week.

I was in Newark yesterday to photograph the ribbon cutting ceremony at the historic Colleoni Apartments, a building that has been refurbished into 29 new one- and two-bedroom apartments. The restoration is considered a key part of the city’s Lincoln Park district.

Weddings have their big moments, such as the ring exchange, the first dance and the cake cutting, and these all make for important photos. I also enjoy finding the little moments and details that make each wedding unique and personal. While the whole day presents such opportunities, lovely moments and details are often found before the ceremony, when everyone is getting ready.
A few photos from Kristin and Dennis’s beautiful day. Wedding photography at Crystal Springs Resort, Hardyston, New Jersey.
