His photographs of proposals have been featured on: Background and EducationZlatko is originally from the island of Korcula on the Croatian coast. His family lived in Sweden for a few years before moving to New Jersey just as he was starting first grade. Zlatko photographed for various school newspapers in high school, college and law school. While in high school, he photographed a campaign speech by then presidential-candidate Ronald Reagan. Zlatko attended photography classes at New York University and the University of Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago (A.B. Philosophy) and Cornell Law School (J.D.). Zlatko had a solo exhibit of fine art photography while at Cornell Law School. He practiced law in New Jersey and New York and is still licensed in both states, though he is happily registered as “retired” from the practice of law. Zlatko enjoys writing and was a speech writer for part of his legal career. During the war in Bosnia, he wrote a speech for Bosnia’s President Izetbegovic which the President read to the United Nations General Assembly. Zlatko began photographing weddings in 2002 after a workshop week in Atlanta with Denis Reggie, the legendary founder of the natural, editorial style called wedding photojournalism. He has been a full-time photographer since 2004. Zlatko lives in Cresskill, NJ with his wife and two sons.
