A modern classic: the Canon 50mm/1.2 lens has an exceptionally beautiful way of “drawing” photographs, especially when used at wide apertures. I love the 50mm focal length: useful for portraits, details and pretty much anything documentary. When shooting at closer distances, there is some inherent focus shift at about f/2.8 to f/4. The 50/1.2 isn’t amazingly sharp like the 85/1.2, but it has its own charm. Do not handle this lens by its lens hood as the weight of the lens can make the front end come loose.
